Dental Assistant Career – A Day in the Life

As a dental assistant your tasks will vary during a typical work day. Sometimes you will deliver patient care or prepare patients for treatment. You will also often process x-rays images, make appointments, or obtain dental records. That’s what a dental assistant career is all about, helping others who are in need. Check out some of our graduates from a recent session below. Congratulations to all & enjoy your new careers!

It’s an exciting career in a professional environment that is fulfilling and has manageable work hours. Some work Monday – Friday 8-hours-per-day while others work shorter hours like 3 or 4 days a week. Dental assistants are always helping others. A dental assistant career is a job you can be proud of!

We’ll Train You to be a Dental Assistant in just 13-Weeks.
Our Program Teaches Skills & Expertise Beyond what Typical Programs Offer.

We provide you with the best training to become a dental assistant in just 13 short weeks. It took three years to put together our Dental Assisting curriculum to provide the optimum skills and expertise. Students will earn a Dental Assisting certificate to show their future potential employer.

We have students from all over Colorado. One of our graduates, Brenda R., said: “I Got a Job!! I got to learn alot of things. I actually enjoyed coming to class and getting hands-on training. The experience at the school was great and I thank every single one of you guys for giving your time.” Graduates are finding good jobs that are leading to successful careers.

One of the benefits of our school is that students will learn information in both a classroom setting and more than 50-hours of hands-on training in a local dental office. Many of the students at the Dental Assistant School of Vail Valley are young and just getting started with a career in the health-care industry. Others are re-entering the workplace later in life or wish for a career change and are finding great opportunities. Classes start throughout the year, so students can enroll anytime with a new session starting soon. Students need to have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent to qualify to enroll. Upon completion graduates receive a Certificate in Dental Assisting.

In today’s economy, people of all ages are looking for career options. Programs like this toward a Dental Assistant Career are a viable option in a career with growing demand. Other programs offer mostly lecture-based training with limited hands-on time, which leaves graduates unprepared for the job market. But with our accelerated program you’ll get hands-on training in absolutely all aspects of Dental Assisting. This kind of experience will put you ahead of your peers.

Our program gives personal attention because class sizes are limited. In other community college-type programs, instructors are limited in the amount of attention they can give to a class of 30 or more students. This means you’ll graduate quickly with the confidence, the skills and the “know-how” to excel in your new career.

I am a strong believer in the Dental Assistant School of Vail Valley curriculum and effectiveness. Take advantage of this opportunity and reserve a spot in our next Dental Assisting class… Email or call (970) 688-4416 and come visit the school today!
